Default Prattville, AL CPA contest Sept. 21-22

All con,
Is this event still on? Looking for confirmation, event details, field location and hotel info.

I tried sending an email to contact listed on CPA web site and it bombed.

Maybe I missed it somewhere in this forum...

Regards,
Cliff

Hi Cliff,
As far as I know it still on, The contest director is Larry Hill and I think Jamie Strong is helping with it. If you look back on RCU the CPA has a list of events with the contact . Any changes to this I will let you know asap !!!

Dave,
Thanks. I tried to contact Larry and the email listed in the CPA list kicked back. Maybe he or Jamie will see this.

I have a email from Larry and the event is still on...

Here is what I got "Yes the contest is still on for Sept. 21 / 22. Have not gotten any motel quotes or ect, so will get busy and do that. A lot of friends that come here to fly stay at the Key West inn. I will get up a phone number rate etc. next week and mail you. "

I will post more info on the Classic forum site as well as the CPA site.

Scott,
Thanks. I'll keep an eye peeled for updates here and on the CPA site.

It might be good to update the CPA site with host club web pages (if they exist) so we can get pertinent info about location and field details.

I'm new to this, so the more info the better... perhaps it will help attandance too?

Hey Guys, not sure where Ole Larrys at, haven't heard from him in 3 days now. Check out the club website at FCflyers.com, for directions, motels and numbers.
I knew I would be tied up dealing with Family matters thru out the Fall part of the year, but, I will be there to meet and greet, and maybe even Run the scoring, and fly a bit, if it works out.
Been a slow contest year traveling for me, just lots of more important stuff taking my time right now, but hope by 2014 season, things will be getting back where I'll be a able to travel more.

Due to the Thursday AM forecast for the weekend calling for 70% chance of rain for both Saturday and Sunday, Larry has made the call to cancel this weekends BPA/CPA contest. Please pass the word around.

Real bummer for sure, but most every forecast is following suit, and hate for folks to spend the money and time traveling only to be sitting in Thundershowers as predicted. Got to be a strong front coming to drop from temps at 90 to 77 in 24 hours or less.
According to Jason at last weeks AMA pattern contest, they are planning on a 3 day AMA, BPA/CPA event in Orlando in March.
