CPA West Coast Regional Championships Point Standings
Howdy All,
The CPA West Coast Regional Championships will be flown at the Antelope Valley Tailwinds field in Lancaster, Ca. on November 8th and 9th, 2014. Tony Frackowiak is the CD. More information here:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/clas...pionships.html
Please note that his is a regular contest in addition to being the regional championship contest. You do not have to be "in the hunt" to participate in this event.
Tony has been crunching the numbers. See attached file for the current standings. Here is an explanation from Tony on how it all works:
"Attached is an Excel document that gives the current standings for the Classic Regionals. I used the best three contests. The winner of a class gets 100 points divided by three. The other places are normalized to the winners score divided by three. This gives them their total and current standing.
The Regionals winner in each class will get 100 points. The others are normalized to that top score. This is added to their total acquired at each previous contest. That total determines the Regional Champ in each class.
This makes the Regional Champs count for 1/2 of the score and the previous contests the other half. This is the system used in this district by the NSRCA."
There are three more contests (Hollister, Sacramento, & Pomona) from which scores will be accumulated toward the Regional Championships. We will update the standings after each event.

Hey Robert I think there is a slight error. I was at the Winter contest and placed second behind Doug Woodward. I don't think Jon Carter was there. Not 100% on that, but if he was he was one class higher.
