Default It's "ALIVE" WEBRA ENGINES ?

The attachment is from UK, appears to be a reputable company. In it on their engine site they show different Webra's available. I thought Webra was no more. Myself, I have a 1030 series rear exhaust sweetheart that I flew in a Deception many moons ago. Any comment on this?

A couple of years ago I contacted the US email address from the website www.webraengines.com and was told it would take them a while to sort things out and decide what to produce. I haven't heard anything lately, but the physical address on one of the pages is the address of MECOA/RJL. It would make sense that Randy bought the Webra line, but their website makes no reference to Webra. Can anyone add to the info? Thanks.

Weston UK is certainly a long established reputable UK company. I believe they bought the rights to Webra engines some time ago.

I had also heard that Mecoa (RJL) bought the rights to Wear engines, but I have not heard anything since. I would try emailing WestonUK. I would like another Webra 160, myself.

I just sent Mecoa an email inquiring about Webra engines. Purchasing Webra engines from WestonUK will be quite expensive with the current exchange rate.

Well, I answered my own question (sort of)... I emailed Mecoa and asked if they owned the right s to Webra engines. If they did would they be producing any Webra engines. Their reply was quite succinct:
'Yes and yes'. No time frame or indication of specific engines. I guess I know what my next email will ask :-)

Good news, it has been silent for a long time. Hopefully spare parts will be sold, too.
I 've always liked Webra's 61 Speed engines.

Default Ebay score

Just bought a brand new .61 Blackhead in the box W/tools and everything for 66 bucks on Ebay! Score!!!

I always loved these engines and I'll be ordering (at least) one from Mecoa when/if they start building them again.

I'm looking for the matching muffler and if anybody has any info, it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

JP

Great price, typical of eBay. I have a Jett 90 with mount, header and pipe that I paid about that much for.
