Ask Mickey Walker. Also Ed Hartley or Dennis Hunt may have oringinal plans.
The way I've heard the story told by Jim Whitley, the "original" DR was actually drawn on napkins over dinner. He says there have been about 8 versions.

Plans are available along with short kits from Zimpro and were authorized by Jim Whitley. http://members.aol.com/zimprod/zimpro.htm now known as Tennessee model products. I got the wing tube version which is very nice. Plans are to build this coming winter.
Attaching a photo of Jim with his plane from a 1969 contest in Birmingham, Alabama for the original color scheme.

Steve, try this guy. I have bought several old pattern plans from him, both off ebay on on ebay. I got a Dirty Birdy and a Vagabond plan set recently, and had the DB plans sent directly to a kit cutter for delivery to me when I get to Arizona. Gonna need something to do while my stuff makes it way thru the Panama Canal. http://stores.ebay.com/Skystone-Plan...cale-Documents. I will try to dig up his email and send it to you via SPA discussion group.
