There is currently an old Midwest Mach 1 on e-Bay w/picture. Also check rcstore.com as I believe they have plans with a picture. Mark

Hi,

Couldn't resist getting you the picture.. so.. this is the picture of the Mach One kit box. Keep in mind that MAN has original plans. This Midwest kit has a foam wing/stab and a balsa fuse that takes DAYS of sanding to get that beautiful shape. If you decide to build one, let everybody know!!!

No, the VK Mach 1 was done around 1961 or so and designed for 8 or 10 channel REEDS. It is a very rare kit. All balsa BTW.

Does anyone besides me think the Mach 1 would look much better with a slight sweepback? Ace did that with the little Mach None knockoff and it makes me want a bigger one just like it. Jim

Jim, I just looked at the Mach None plans again. I agree about sweeping the wings back. And it would be simple to do. Use the same ribs, just build the TE straight across from tip to tip and bring the LE back to meet the ribs. I say this assuming that the original has a double taper wing; at least it looks that way in Dan's pic above.
