The Beat On 140 was the plane flown by Akiba in the world championships in 1997. It was the first real widebody plane used at that level. I think that date must be wrong. Not that it matters though to me, you will probably get an answer in this forum too. You can get the successor to the Beat On, the Grand Slam 140 from Japan in kit form. The kits are really expensive but they are the best kits you can find. They are generally around US $700-$800 plus shipping. http://www.starcraft.co.jp/ has the Grand Slam and the Good Shot. The Good Shot is the successor to the Grand Slam and was used at the 2003 F3A worlds in Poland. They told me the Good Shot kit in the cheapest version (belly pan and cowl made from fibreglass) costs $750.
