Hey guys,
My LHS has an original Bridi XLT kit. How does this plane compare to the earlier Bridi designs, such as Escape or Dirty Birdy?
I know it was designed during the turn-a-round transition--just wondering if it would be worth building.
Thanks,
Jim

Jim,
The XLT came in between the Dirty Birdy and the Escape. It really wasn't designed for turn around at all... just very fast AMA.... The plan has outstanding roll charactoristics and looks cool w/the anhedral stab. Put in a piped rear exhaust 2 cycle and have a ball... You might even want to look into putting in an OS .90 FX and not use a pipe at all..... Nice flying plane.... good luck with it.

I called Bridi a few years ago to ask some questions abut the XLT and Escape. Imagine my surprise when Joe answered the phone. He explaned to me that the XLT was a direct evoulution of the Dirty Birdi and UFo line. The Escape was esentialy a modified Deception as I remember. Hope this helps.
