I heard a year ago that he lived in Alabama and was active in helicopter flying. I think he was still connected with Futaba. Someone else will probably provide more info.
I too built a Bootlegger, it is still in the attic.
I guess I am one of the few people around that has a Bootlegger , a Deception and a UFO from that the "good old days".
