Default LA1 Engine

I have an LA1 I have been flying for years with a Hanno Special RF-61. I need a replacement.

Is there an engine in production now that I could buy or will I need to find another Hanno or 61p made when these engines were in production?

Thanks!

tower sells the cylinder and piston, bocca sells the bearings, and if your pump is trashed you can run a perry pump,

Unfortunately there are not any pumped, rear exhaust .61's being sold these days.

If you don't want to do a rebuild you can still sometimes find OS Hanno's and RF-P's as well as YS 60 & 61's new on Eb*y...but NIB ones go for a good price.

Have you thought about a 4-stroke? I seem to remember the LA-1's running on .91's and 1.20's when people first started converting over to 4-strokes.
