Default Plans for the Runaround

Guys,

I'm looking for a copy of the Dick Hanson Designed "Runaround". I know the plans were published in June/1985 Model Builder. If you have the magazine and can scan the article and plans which were published in the "Rag". That will do just fine.

Hoping to see a post here.

Tnx..

Tony,

Hope these will do. Plan just slightly too big for my scanner.

Tnx.. Ray,

I appreciate you looking this up and then posting the article and plans. These should do just fine. Again, I'm very appreciative of your help.

Kind regards,

Tony, the full sized plans are still available from Model Builder plans. Bill Northrup is in Henderson,NV and advertises in Flying Models. He has a huge selection.

Frank,

I had already contacted "Bill" and to be honest. Bill must be supporting himself selling some of the old plans. I know this will sound a bit "Cheap" on my part, but $28.00 plus 7.50 shipping and they are FOLDED! ! ! Sorry but thats a bit "steep" too me for a set of plans for a 27 year old design which I'm sure is NOT Still on the "HOT" LIST of plans.

To tell you the difference, I got 4 or 5 copies of plans from Nic for the PP's and the Niris and with shipping I think it was $33.00. I just yesterday ordered a set of Plans for the Professional Cut which is a 94" ws aircraft x 80" Fuse, plus the Wing Drawing so two sheets and with shipping it was $17.00

I've built so many planes from the Magazine article, by simply "scaling" them up with a simple ruler made with a business card. Yeah, it takes a bit of work, to draw my plans on butcher paper, but this is my hobby and I enjoy building and I would rather spend the money on Balsa and plywood!

Hey, it's only 17 years old. I bought a set of Runaround plans from Bill a couple of years ago and I think they were only $17. The original is quite a bit different from the kit. I'll just use my kit plans.

Hey Will,

Lets do the math here.... June/1985 When the Runaround was published in Model Builder. I did make a mistake though because its 22 yrs old...not 27.

Tony, I did not know that Bill went up so much on his prices! Plan prices are now bordering on being prohibitive! A friend recently wrote me about a plan in MA being $32! He went to a copy place and had them blown up for $8.50 from the mag article.
Yes, I, too, have scaled up from the mag plan but the copy prices make that chore unnecessary.
I still think that the Runaround is a viable pattern ship. I think that it would be an ideal candidate for electric power.
