My vote would be the Mach 1. Had one in the 70's. Midwest kit nice plane but a PITA to build. Carvers nightmare to shape the fuse.

Flew fast with a Webra BH 61. Always going fast. Took about 3/4 lap to slow down to land.

Peace

Fastest pattern ship I ever saw was Sal Battaglia's Arrow with a YS .60FR in it........

I remember Sal Battaglia well.

I think the fastest was Jim Martin's Banshee.

There were lots of honnkin' planes in the 70's. My Own PPs would scream along with the best of them.

I too knew Sal during those days. I lost track of him some time back----do you have any info on him??

BTW the fastest one is the one that gets one step ahead of you!

I saw Jim Martin give an exhibition flight with his Banshee at Lakehurst N.A.S. in either 70 or 71. That model and pilot cooked.

Another fast one was Syd Clement's Bridi UFO with a tweaked Rossi .60 with pipe. Unreal.

Too manly for me, but that bertolani comet sounds more my speed.

It was funny. Fast planes are cool too. I'd have to try one to see if my reflexes are up to it.
