This is my new MK Cosmos. It is the 1st kit I have built from start to finish. It has a Webra Speed 61 on a tuned pipe. I have flown 2 gal. of fuel thru it and love it. I don't know much about the plane or Naruke who designed it so I would welcome any coments about the plane or pattern flying. Thanks, Kenny

Looks great!! I had one about 20 years ago and it was a great airplane......in fact I recently procured a glass belly pan for the Cosmos 60 in the hope of scratchbuilding another one hopefully soon.

Hi Kenny,
I never owned a Cosmos 60 (though I have a kit in my collection), but I did put 6 flights on a friend's Cosmos at a pattern contest in 1985 (the frequency I was flying on had serious interference issues - I know, I tried to fly and was LUCKY to get my Joker back on the ground intact after some VERY scary moments). The Cosmos I flew was powered with a YS 60FR turning an Asano 11x9 prop. The airplane flew great and I almost beat the owner with his own plane. The Cosmos is the immediate predecessor to the Aurora also designed by NAruke who is a 2 time FAI F3A world champ (won twice in the '90s). The Japanese design beautiful airplanes and are terrific builders.
Enjoy your Cosmos!!

Beautiful airplane Kenny. I noticed you have flaps on this airplane. How do you like them? I am putting flaps on a project of mine and am interested in the performance of yours. Thanks and again, that is a gorgeous plane.

dhall22, I love the flaps. They really help slow t he plane down on landing. I was surprised at the extra lift they provide even though they are quite small. I found out the hard way not to use the flaps on a dead stick landing! No harm was done to the plane but had to walk and get it because it came up short! Good luck on your build. Send us some pics!
