For better or worse, I've chosen a new Webra Speed .61, Mac's #2850 standard manifold, and Mac's #1260 muffled pipe to haul the Illusion.
What are you folks using as clamps for the silicone tube that connects the manifold to the pipe? Years ago some spring clamps (squeeze to open) came with a Hatori pipe but I can't find a source.
Thanks for helping me get this project underway...

Hey...Where did you get your Webra Speed 61??
McMaster Carr shows those(or similar) spring clamps on Page 242 of their catalog:
http://www.mcmaster.com/
(PG 242..Scroll to the bottom of page..)
I just use Zip Ties...But those spring clamps are nice...
Thanks...
Chuck

Talk to Paul Kegel - helluva great guy AND he just might be the only US Webra source left (I heard that Horizon is no longer a Webra disty...caveat - that might just be a rumor.) Dunno if my name will help you on price but try it.

I was really surprised Mac's does not offer them...maybe because the cable ties do the job well?
Chuck - write me [email protected] (need two buy I would buy 4 from you.)
Can I presume all manifolds and pipes take the same inside diameter silicone connector?

Guys,
heard of Chief aircraft? http://www.chiefaircraft.com/rcmsec/...bra/Webra.html
They show the whole line as available.
They are a great source and offer a free shipping plan. They usually meet or beat Tower. Call them, and it's in the mail by the next day.

Post some pics ok? I started mine a while back and am now beginning again. I have a Rossi .60 and pipe, spring air 3 gear set. I have the rear stab sheeted, I honeycombed it too!

jquid - I'll be watching your build thread and referring to it, but I promise I'll post some pics of mine as it progresses.
I think I'll tune the pipe for 11 - 7.5 props and let 'er spin up. Prop tip speed noise is not a problem and not worried about unlimited vertical or constant speed in the up lines...just want to hear it scream...(wink)
