Default RE: Classic Pattern SPA/Bpa??

The BPA is a group of like minded pattern flyers who like pre-turnaround pattern and the aircraft mainly from the late 70's to early 90's that were being flown before the motor limitations were lifted and turnaround being implemented.the basic guid lines that many not all have come to agree on is an aircraft(new or older design) that is less than 72in. in wing span and motors under 1.2 (supercharged, piped, injected, nitros what ever!!) retracts are encouraged but not mandatory(they just look cool)!

My goal as a BPA contest holder is to have pre-turnaround contests with no limitations as to era or motor size other than the the above stated.(kinda run what you brung and hope you brung enough). Another goal is to be inclusive not exclusive if a flyer shows up with a 74in wingspan airplane they wouldn't be turned away or penalized. Its the spirit not strict interpritation of the rules.

Ultamately its not the aircraft, retracts or motor that wins pattern contests its the skill of the pilot.

Gary,
Thank you for reply. Looks very interesting and expands the choice of engines and Pattern Ships.
