I ran across this software a while back, they also have r/c airplanes on it, Pattern, low wing Ect.... they are all generic designs. there is a charge for it $14.95 but you can design your paint scheme with it. I'm using it on my full size RV7 I'm building, its pretty cool. maybe some of you might like it. I'm thinking they have a free intro upload.

I always just got a bunch of 3-views and start sketching away.
Sometimes it comes quickly, sometimes not.
I'm a big fan of the colors flowing from wing to body, etc.
