My dad just passed away[&o]
He was a great pattern flier in the 70ths.
I think the green one is a british "TruLine" something??
And maybe the orange/brown is American.

Yes it's real hard, beside being my dad we also worked together for 19 years 8 hours a day.
We both started flying again 3 years ago after a break since 1987.
All the plans we had both flying pylon and pattern, me as a pilot and dad as a caller.
But this hobby helps alot, he is with me all the time when I fly.

P.S this is my mach1 resto bird, so the orange is not a mach1.

I think WEDJ is right. Its a Tiger Tail. I looked on my [link=http://www.trentonrcflyers.com/pattern/pattern.htm]image-base[/link] and the Tiger Tail was the closest model to the orange and white plane.

I have never seen a plane like the green one. The other one appears to be some kind of kit bash. I see a Mach 1 fuse with a different canopy. The wing outline is most certainly different. The photo's of the Tiger Tail looks to be considerably thicker in the front of the fuse, especially right behind the engine. Not to mention that it looks shorter. The dorsal fin looks to be borrowed from the Mach 1. The wing planform does look more like a Tiger Tail.
I would like to know the particulars.. Alot of guys changed things up in an attempt to find a better plane. My guess is that some of that is involved in the orange and white pattern ship. I did like getting to see the photos.

The green model is not a serious pattern plane, even back "in the day". Why? Because the rudder ends just above the horizontal stabilizer, which will lead to tons of adverse yaw during application. It resembles a model I've seen by the late Jack Sheeks, IIRC.

forgot to tell that I have had one of these Agrovators and it flew very well. good pattern-plane at that time (1980-84). Very nice knife edge in fact of the rudder. and the plane flew fast with a Webra speed with pipe.

Hi.
I have been flying the agrovator 8 flights now and I like it.
It is fast, I use a old OS 60 Goldhead.
Knife edge is great just a little up elevator and it tracks straight.
My dad built it in mid 1970, I have found the plan for it also.
Please scan some pics, it's always fun to see others planes.
But I really want to know what the orange/brown/white airplane is.
This is the next one I will get ready to fly.
Then I have to build my new Curare, restore my Mach 1 and build my Flair Meteor.

I'm from Sweden also and I think I have seen this type of airplane both in catalogs and flying at F3A contests in Sweden. Do You know why it was painted with US markings - could indicate the kit/model was manufactured in US. But I do not think the plane is from an USA made kit. I have a vauge memory it was somone from Denmark (Kristensen or Christensen?) that designed this airplane (not sure just guessing at this moment). Names like Skybird, Slybird (or Sky-Bird, Sly-Bird) are ringing in my ears (but that is just guessing also at the moment).
Can You tell me if it is fiberglass fuselage and foam wings sheeted with balsa?
Does it seems to be a "kit" or is it any chance it is a modified other plane or scratch built?
The fillet in front of the horozintal fin seems to be added afterwards and not orginal on the plane or...?
Is it a mid-wing och a low-wing plane (little hard to see on the pictures)?
Does it have retractable landing gear?
I know one F3A flyer here in Sweden in mid 1970th (around 1975-1978 or so) flew a very similar looking plane, the person was Josef Toth from Åkersberga just outside Stockholm, and he had two identical planes if I'm not misstaken, painted yellow and brown if my memory is correct. There was also another person I saw at one F3A competition here in Sweden (at Gränscupen in Strömstad probably around 1976) that had a yellow-blue-red painted similar looking plane.
I think it is probably why it is so difficult for someone from US to indentify this plane if it was made in Nordic area and flown mostly up here.
I also think You may get good help if you post the picture at Swedish model flying assosiation ("SMFF") forum (You need to register to be able to post) or the other organization Swedish RC association ("RCFF") and their forums. Also try the forum at "F3A Sweden".

that this orange-white plane is a SLY BIRD and was designed by"Andreasen". The person that identified this plane was one of 1970th (and 1980th) top F3A flyer from Sweden, Benny Kjellgren. As You can se in my post above I had Sly Bird as one of my vague suggestions and bingo - Benny confirmed that it was actually a SLY BIRD.
