I might stir up the crowd with this one. Has anyone ever thought of or seen a YS 91 powered LA-1?
I have seen plenty of Hanno's and YS AR powered but never heard of anyone retro-fitting a 4 stroke to one. Any one have any pics if one exists?

So your LA-1 is in the works now?? Very Kewl!!
Good Luck with her and please keep us posted with tons of pictures..

Not too sure what to say on the engine but I'm sure you can "make it work"...The only .91 4c engine I have is a YS 91 Air Chamber which is a big and bulky engine for a 91...I just held it up to my Desire and figured I could "make it work" if I wanted but imagine I'd have some weight and balance issues?? The YS 91A/C weights 830grams compared to the Hanno at 630...
George may be able to offer some advice??
Your gonna get one of those Kewl wrap around headers and a pipe..Right??

Good Luck...

Just kicking around some ideas. I have a few motors lying around but I still think the Hanno is the best fit. I got my hands on a new in the box Hanno and a Hanno pipe a few months back so I think it will be going in. I also have the YS 91AC and a YS 120AC lying around for future projects. I will have to find a good spot for the 120AC some day soon. Can't wait to get started on the LA-1. I will definitely post pics of the project. Maybe I'll do a running post of the project.

i've seen a Conquest 6 with a YS 120 in it; so it can be done! I also know that the Jeckyll 60 flew very well with a YS .91AC. There are some balance issues and head clearance issues. Since you've got a new Hanno, that would be a perfect match!!

The Hanno needs a home so it's going in. I got word that the LA-1 kit will be here in a couple weeks. Can't wait!!! I will post some pics of project as it progresses.

Hey buddy,
I have everything we need to bag those wings too! I have to agree about using that Hanno motor; all the hype must be for a reason. I think you'll have a kickin' classic pattern setup when your done.
