Thanks

AMA has the Dragon FLi plans. They are from the old Pond plans http://www.modelaircraft.org/files/p...fs/d-plans.pdf Dragon-Fli

Area 13, $17.00 AMA#24D19 Pond # 365

Great flyer but Kraft really never flew it that much! He moved on to other designs and of course full scale flying.

Hey Dave!

Did you ever get the Dragon-Fli short kit cut? If so, I'd like to get one and add it to the stash!

I suppose if there's interest I can finish the cad plans I started and get some short kits cut.

Dave,

you can also simply take the digital file on a USB memory key to your local Kinko's and have them run a couple of printouts. I think it'll cost you a little less. My Kinko's charges $1/sq ft. for B&W 36' max width line art.

Hey John! I didn't get to speak to you, but I saw you fondling that Hanno! Did you buy it? He told me $125 including the pipe. That's a decent deal. I bet you talked him down.[8D]

I saw a few things I wanted and ended up getting this NIB Kraft for $50. I wish it had the Kraft carb, but I love Perry carbs, too. I think it has the .270" throat barrel; I have a .312" barrel that I might swap with it after breaking it in. Interesting break-in procedure: run at 14,500 - 14,800 with a 10x6. This is along the same lines as what the Jett site recommends, i.e., a smaller prop running rich at the target rpm.

I don't know if Kraft ever used one of these in a Dragon Fli (when did the Kraft .61 come out?), but it would still be a cool engine for this plane. At any rate, I have an incentive to get the drawings and cut file finished.

Dave,

Do you have the entire article for the Dragon-Fli? I'd like to get a copy. Please advise. TIA!

Kinkos says 42" by 55" plan size. Too big for their 75 cents per square foot printer. It will have to go thru the $3.50 square foot printer! "No thanks"
I'll order the planset. No hurry.

Dave, what is Kinko's limit for their 75¢ service? Is it 36" wide?

I will rearrange the plans to fit.

Ok, I forgot I had another version where I had moved stuff around to fit on a 36" wide sheet.

Here it is:

I'm just going to re-draw the plans in cad. This way all the parts will fit exactly. I will simplify the internal construction a bit, too.

David,
I was going to get that Hanno and pipe , but I've got too much "crap" already! Plus I have ( 4 ) rear exh.
O.S. 61's with pumps . Tell me what the diff. is. Other than the red anod. head..........timing? brgs.? crank?......
Also I have a "dry virgin" 61 YS in the box. What is that worth????????????
I'm really sorry we didn't get to talk, but next time. We have our first SPRA pylon race in Hudson on Sat. if you are interested.

thanks
john g.
