I'll cast another vote for the Sweetater, but you really need to build the Aristo Cat also...the world needs more guys flying Cl II!
I built one from plans 7-8 years ago and it really flies well, mine has a modern OS 46 but if I build another I would use a 60.

Mach 1, nothing like carving away everything that doesn't look like an airplane!
Since Dick Russ has posted and joined here....

For those that don't know what the Crusader looks like, here's a pic. While not the best picture, it does give a good idea of its shape. Dressed up in a colorful military scheme would be very cool. Construction article was published in MAN Feburary 1965.

Been pretty quiet around here. Dosen't anybody have any more thoughts?
I'm also a big fan of old Hal deBolt designs and have the following plans: Crusader, Chief, Twin Viscount, Interceptor and Rebel 3-channel bipe. So there's a lot to chose from!

Since I have an original Calypso kit my vote would be for a build thread on it. But, my second choice would be for the Sweetater. That is one sexy looking plane. Of course, I've been waiting for Don at Eureka to finish the kits for the Atlas and I would really like to make that my next build.
As you can tell, I'm very undecided, but those are my favorite three.

FB - for reasons you know I would obviously like to see how the Troublemaker goes together but, looking at your list, I would vote for the Aristocat. Class II models are a bit neglected these days. They are simple to build and great fun to fly so it would leave you more time to complete your excellent Banshee build thread !!
However, judging by the previous posts, I think I will be in a minority of one.

I can supply the plans and Lazer Works the short kit. They cut the kit from the plans I supplied, which are the made from the original Mylar (which I happen to own).

Free Bird I will PM you about more details.
Free Bird I can take better pictures and more if you want, It's sitting in my hangar.

Can I change my vote?

Right now it's a toss up between the Kwik Fli (that I just won on yabe) and the Crusader. I'm leaning toward the Kwik Fli as it'll build a lot faster. The Crusader will build after that.

Naturally with my "handle" and being involved in the development of the King Altair kit, I would like to see the King on a build thread, however a second choice would have to be the Crusader which I've always admired and considered building "someday". Either would be great.

I'd like to see a build of the Kirkland Intruder (Laser Works short kit). I have a Beachcomber and would like to build Jim Kirkland's other championship plane. I know there is an ARF from World Models, but I would like to build one the original size and make it as light as possible so I could use a small electric motor (600 watts) and inexpensive 6 cell A123 battery packs. How much lighter than the ARF could you make it ?

The WM ARF is not a very close relative to the original. It's larger and longer, thus heavier. There's thread on RCGroups about an e-power WM Intruder that looks pretty good.

I'm in waiting mode right now, when Eddie gets the plans for the Crusader I'll be getting the first short kit.
So this winter I will build a Crusader from Laser Works short kit and drawings by Free Bird.
Last evening I was sheeting my foam cores for my Mach 1, and I feel abit crazy right now.
Going from no pattern planes a year ago, I now have 6 and still wants more, this is a sickness
Take care.
