I would like all Florida SPA pilots contact me at my e-mail or reply to this post with your Name and e-mail address.
The reason is to attempt to have a gathering somewhere centrally located in Florida where everyone can get to easily. We had such a gathering about 1.5 years ago at my field RCACF in Apopka, Florida. We may be able to do the same thing again.
The gathering would simply be a fly-in type of event and at the same time discuss having more SPA/BPA events in the state of Florida. As you may know, we have an association in Florida dedicated to SPA and BPA and also Vintage aircraft thus the name of the association "Florida Vintage Pattern Association". We are Chapter 6 of the SPA (Senior Pattern Association).
We are in need of ideas to keep the association alive and at the same time have more SPA/BPA/Vintage type contests in the state of Florida.
Thank you fore your participation.
You may e-mail me or just reply to this post.

As no one returned any replies (with the exception of two people of whom I already knew) to this post, I will assume that there are no clubs, or individuals in the state of Florida NOT willing to host any SPA/BPA contests or combination of the two. So I take it that no one in the state of Florida is interested in attending or participating in SPA or BPA contests.
I really do not believe that.
I will then sumize the "Florida Vintage Pattern Association" will then go by the wayside if no one steps up.
Amen, Amen I say to you, so be it.
However, I and a few others will continue attending SPA, BPA, VRCS and AMA contests.

You tell 'em Orlando! Let's have a little fire and brimstone to get the crowd stirred up! Hey, it's almost time for the first '09 SPA contest in Cullman. I finished Monokoting the Compensator. Now, "all" I have to do is the hinging, radio installation, engine and tank installation, attach the canopy, fly it, trim it out, and so forth. And I thought getting an ARC would be quick to get in the air. Sigh.

Believe it or not, I have receievd some response to my post. I shall follow them up.
Would you know how long of a drive is it to Cullman from Orlando, FL?
