Crashed an ARF ? If you have crashed an ARF, and don't know why, maybe this can help. I was mounting servo's in the wings of a 110 powered ARF. Usually I will go over all joint's and re-epoxy where needed. Here I was setting the aileron servos in, and using the probe to indent the screw holes. A little pressure, and the soft plywood just popped down from the upper piece, where most of the hold was. I checked them all, and not much pressure to pop them out. Maybe if we did crash, and tried to find out why, this area or other's, could have caused it ? Picking up the pieces, we would just think that the plywood popped when the crash occurred, and this could have been the culprit that did it. This could be old news, thought I would pass it on.

That appears to be quite poorly engineered. That would leave me neither warm or fuzzy. I have found several questionable items in one particular ARF, but the GP ARF'S (Venus II, Reactor) that I have had have been much better executed. It just goes to show that you just can't beat doing it yourself.
