HI
Well YOU did a nice job on building that plane. That looks sooo nice. I always wanted that plane, just love those airtronics kits. Looks like you moved the canopy a touch aft. I like it

Just bare bones at this point....I will decide where the canopy will be placed when I start covering,,,Airtronics and GM Precision kits are the best! </p>

Great looking plane! Is that a GMS .25?
Here's a company that seems to be gradually re-releasing the Airtronics kits. It looks like the plans are available now:

Very nicely done plane - I've had the plans set for years, but ........
Plans are also available thru www.rcmplans.com/, originally the plans service for RCM Magazine. Plan no. 601; $10.00 USD. The New Era III (RCM 6/75) wasthe last of a progression of planes -the original and New Era II were co-designed by Don Dewey and Chuck Cunningham.
A .40 sized version was designed by Lee Renaud in '84. The New Era III was revamped by Joe Beshar in '96, but I didn't think it added anything to the original New Era III.

Thanks for all the nice comments! David, its actually a GMS .32...I have two of the .47s and they run great! I hope to get her all ready for covering today.I had to build a box half way between the wing and tail for the battery because it was coming out nose heavy, (see pics) I also changed the aileron linkage from bellcranks to a simpler torque rod setup

Just answered my question... found a related thread in the kit building section:

Nicely done Johnny!
I'm interested in seeing whether retracts are a sensible/possible option. I just bought a kit.
David.

I had one of these powered by an OS25FP until just a couple years ago. It flew great and I just loved it. Really came out light and floated in for landings, yet flew pretty big in a pattern style. You can see a pic of it in My Models. Jon
