Absolutely awesome and inspiring. The P-5 was the first pattern plane to draw my attention "way back when".

Is Wings Mfg. still in business?
If so, do they now offer a P5 kit...or ARF?

Thanks fella's.
The project started when I found out Wing MFG obtained the old molds for some of these butes. I am a pylon racer for many years now and thought my new life might be in my beginnings of old time pattern planes. I have known Don Lowe for most of my life. My dad ran the NAT's in pattern for many years in the 70's. I always helped him out at that time when I was in college. The pattern fliers of this day were my hero's. Paul Ennis, Jersey Jim Martin, Don Lowe were the closest to me. I am hoping to build the Banshee next. Wing has a number of these old molds and they are still in good shape. The glass work is very good and the foam cutting is the best. If you are interested in this stuff get in touch with Dan and Billie Gipe at wing Manufacturing. I am trying to get my friend Dave Brown out to the field to help me trim the P-5 out.
Good luck all.
Tom

David - Last June I said the P-6 would fly in 2 week's. I lied. I have had a very busy summer, have been trying AMA pattern, building up another Focus Sport and another P-6. Family matter's have entered the ring also.

Should be soon.

I know this is a thread re: Phoenix V, but I thought I would throw a question out there re: Curare 60. Just received my short kit from Don at Eureka Aircraft. First time for me to take on a short kit. Especially w/o a build manual. A challenge for my 70 year old brain. However, I have built many kits (and put together numberous ARFsooops, should I have said that?). I think I should cut the foam wing and foam stab first prior to the fuse. That is usally how most kits are arranged. If any of you fellas have any useful info re: this build it would be much appreciated.
