Mk Retracts
#1
I have a set of MK retracts that I pulled from one of my Atlanta’s that I’m replacing with Spring –air’s.
I have no use for them. If anyone needs the set for a build or a restoration project just let me know. No fee.

Really not much to see yet, I have one that’s in the restoration phase that I’m ready to toss “Getting very aggravated” It’s just a basket case.
The 2 new builds are still waiting to get started, I have other projects to finish before I can get to them. “Never enough time”

Paul,
Very kind offer.
They'd just be peachy in my Aurora 45! When I get around to building it... (maybe next year)

thanks for the enthusiasm. It will be a momentous build for sure. I suspect that it will come after the Arrow and Blue Angel (in that order) as it's nice to culminate with the most complex design of the three. I have two NIB YS 45's FR's and pipes awaiting the Arrow and Aurora and an identical 45 FS for the BA. They were selling in abundance recently and I just couldn't pass them up. I'm thinking that the BA would be better off with a regular YS muffler or perhaps a slightly better one but not a pipe. I've done three under the wing pipe builds lately and it's not something I'm overly ecstatic about. A muffled YS on the BA would in any case be ample power I suspect. The Arrow will likely be rocket like with it's under the hood pipe as it's the smallest of the three (albeit probably not the lightest - the BA will probably be the lightest).
It will be a fun year when I finally embark on the 40 size MK project trio! 20 size MK builds will be first though. There are really two of them that I really look forward to: the Cosmos and the Skymaster - powered with OS 32 SX and 25 VF respectively.
Just day dreaming about these builds causes my head to feel warm...

I do look forward to seeing FB's A45 restoration.
David.

Actually, I have two A45s. One is a completed model that needs to be stripped and refinished, it's pretty worn out. The biggest hurdle is a belly pan. It's in poor shape and I don't know if it's usable. The other A45 I have a an unfinished airframe. It too will need some work to bring up to a usable condition. But in the long run, probably far less work than stripping the first one.

Free Bird,
Did the retracts arrived yet? I have a few more items that I'll be giving away that I'm not going to use.
