I have two boxes of the original MonoKote. Is this still used for anything other then making stripes ?

The original sticky backed Monocote that wrinkled up like a prune unless you precovered the open areas with silkspan? Yeah, use it for stripes and stuff.

Funny you mention Monokote, this is what I'm using it for!

Yes, waste not want not... and its fun! Left over Monokote, I still have to stripe them. OK about the gear.

i don't even own an iron. i have read the backing makes a good divider / release agent when doing fiberglass layups on fuselages.

HA! It's been years since I MonoKoted a Christmas present. A girlfriend had been ribbing me about MonoKote and said that I should use it for wallpaper. So I did her presents with it. Including ironed on ribbons.

The great part was that after the initial laughs came the big laughs when she tried to open them. That stuff is tough!
