Default THE E-FLITE'S

What's the scoop with the E-Flite's? Has anyone used them, or seen them in action yet? To switch from Spring-Aire's, which are great, I'm from Missouri on this one. Spring-Aire's can take it, usually tear the wing mount out before the gear give's, especially with the 3/16" strut's. Box below is the 2 gear main's system.
Any info appreciated.

Mine are still on back order! Now that I've bought a set of Spring Airs for my UFO build the E-Flites will probably show up next week! [sm=rolleyes.gif]

I just received mine two days ago! (Tri-gear set for a Phoenix 7 ARF) All I have done so far is look at them but they look nice and well made. I am waiting for the P7 ARF to arrive at the door and then I can bolt them into something and see how they do!

Thanks,

The 60 - 120 sized retracts are shipping and have been since late July.

They are very robust with 5mm wire struts for the mains, 4mm wire sturt for the nose.

Hey John - The P-7 still August 15 ? If that date is close, then they should be loading the container over in China right now? How many day's to float the boat over here? I am sure you would be the first to know ?? The excitement build's, we are enthused, dream about the P-7. Keep us updated John.

Since no one know's when the P-7 is being shipped, delivery could be anytime.

That's the only box I could find, the "two in the box job". OK, who sez the P-7 is in stock know? Talking about the plane or the e-flite's? I have a P-7 on BO, no call or mail yet. I gotta say this. I sent my X9303 tx, DX7 tx, and an
R7000 rx to Horizon, just for a check up and to update the R7000. I sent it Priority on Monday, they got it Wednesday, all checked out, R7000 upgraded, (at N/C), it is on it's way. All this done at N/C, postage paid by Horizon.

That is fast service ! I have always gotten great service from Horizon. Flying season will be in full swing down here about November. Picture attached, I have another one of these almost ready for paint.

I received an email from Horizon the other day stating that my retracts would be shipped on Monday. I thought about it for several hours and decided since I got the Spring Airs last week for the UFO I would save a couple hundred bucks and canceled the back order. I'll probably regret that decision at some point! Maybe someone will get them and put them into service quicker than I would have been able to.

I did call Horizon on Monday because the site showed it was available, however I was told that they were expecting them at any time, maybe even this week. Now it says the end of August, so I'm not sure what the deal is.

As a side note the Horizon Web site said coming soon all week.

Now before anyone starts flaming me or tells me that I just need to be patient, let me say I am not mad, angry or upset about this in anyway, I just want to know what changed between Monday and Friday. I love Horizon and no issues what so ever with them or their service, my posts are not meant to be negative in anyway. As long as they don't send me any of that JR junk. LOL

I don't know how it is today, but it used to be in this industry, the supplier/manufacturer, would show a product, take back-order's, and even pre-payment. When the order's were sufficient enough to pay for all tooling, etc., they would offer a ship date. That way, they are not stuck with a new product, all paid for, usually up front.

I am sure that is not the case with Horizon, to me, they are top notch in the industry, especially taking care of the customer. I have had the new YS115S on order with Central for about a year, supposed to be here last May, 2010. Still waiting. The new P-7, supposed to be here, 8/15/2010.

I am not sure what the issue is with our website but I will say don't pay any attention to it. It is updated through some process which is never up to date. At least that is what I have found out over the years.

P7's are on the way at this time. Transit is around 5 weeks once they leave China.

When they get here I will let all of you know.

I have mine installed in the P7 ARF, but I haven't flown it yet. So far they have worked flawlessly on the bench dispite my best efforts at binding them a couple of times.
