RE: Mach 8
I had a Mach 8 around 75 with an HP-40 and boy did it haul. Great flying plane and I'm thinking of building another one soon. I will say this though. It flies fast and lands fast, but it is a lot of fun to fly. Keep it light and it is great. Build it heavy and it is a dog. Mine was light, fast and a great flying plane. I would love to have another.

RE: Mach 8
I am building a Mach 8 right now from the RCM plan and September 1973 issue of RCM. I had Wing Mfg make foam cores for this plane, and the cores are absolutely flawless. I did not even have to sand them before adding the sheeting You can contact Wing Mfg at (269)665-9630 and talk to Dan or Billie Gipe to order them.

ORIGINAL: RFJ The article was in the September 1973 issue of RCM. Pdf article scan available if interested. Ray Ray, Of course the lady is happy after see had elected the plane with the nicest color scheme! See knows. My advice: Make the plane you like, give it the colorscheme she likes and live will be much easier for you! Cees |
