Hi folks, just find this semi plan in the web. I dont know but appears to be a russian plane.

Here's my read:
Length = 56.3" (w/o spinner) Wing Span = 63" (1600 mm) Wing Area = 682 sq in (44 dm^2) Wing Airfoil = NACA 0018 Stab Span = 26.4” (670 mm) Stab Area = 181 sq in (11.7 dm^2) Stab Airfoil = NACA 0012 Weight = 7.9 lbs (3600 g) Engine = .61 (10 ccm) Prop = 11 x 7" (280 x 175 mm) Tank = 12.8 oz (380 ccm) Wheels = 2-1/3” (60 mm) I can’t figure out what 33% represents (perhaps CG location?) or what the last two lines under the airfoil specs stand for. Looks essentially like a Curare with an Atlas nose.

A few differences in the canopy location and the fin layout but otherwise the canopy & rudder look pretty close. The Russian model looks a little more "fused together" behind the canopy and at the fuse/fin junction much like the Curare and Tiporare.

nicely done! See, if I was used to thinking of props in metric it would have jumped right out at me. I knew they were mm but I couldn't figure out what a "square" dimension would be for. I'll amend the specs above. Excellent translation of the bottom details! David. |

i love it 8178! so many retract haters out there, i can't stand it. my number 1 reason for not getting into modern builds yet is the fixed gear that is everywhere.
