David,
I'll do what I can to rally the troups and send them your way. I am planning on being there and will do scoring and matrix stuff.
I've found a neat stop watch that can be used to time each plane AND count laps. I'm going to order one today and check it out. If it does what I want I'll get three more. Stay turned........

Good morning David,
just checking, does your field have AC power available?
If I can make it, Im thinking about bringing my blower fan that I had brought at RCRC to help keep us cool .... not that is going to be hot or anything like that in the middle of July, LOL
Im not sure I can make it to your race but I will certainly try to come.
Any freq conflicts? Im still FM on ch# 46 .
Thanks,
John

John, I'll be there! I'm bringing my PC and printer to do scoring and also my new lap counting stop watches. I also got the job of bringing the fuel so I'll be loaded down.
I sure hope the weather cooperates! The weekend forecast isn't great but this time of year there is always a chance of rain.
I had to replace the engine on Batman. The piston and sleeve got messed up when the wrist pin retainer decided to break at the RCRC race. How I managed to take 5th place with a wounded engine shows how lucky I am. Anyway, The new engine is running very well!
See you guys next Saturday!

Do you think the little piston circlip broke or was not seated good or just what?
Where is a good place to buy new piston/sleeve sets at a good price? I think Ive seen some going for around $41.00 or so online (?)
I havent had to replace one of mine yet ( knock on wood) but one never knows when they may decide to let go. Its almost reminds me of my racecar days some years ago, the engines seems to run best right before they blow! []

Tower Hobbies keeps them in stock, $41.00.
I ordered a bunch of TT Pro 40 spare parts a couple of weeks ago. I figured that if I had them on hand, I would probably never need them.......
I'm very sure the clip broke because parts of it were still in the wrist pin groove. I just can't figure out how the pieces got past the piston.
