Results of September 24th race in Columbus, IN
It rained!
We did have two guys fly practice laps when it dropped to a slight drizzle.
They mid-aired. One went down hard at 45 degree angle. The other was still controllable, missing one landing gear. Wing was almost broken in half at center. Fuselage broken behind wing. Owner scrapped it. I will try to salvage fuse for loaner.
Next scheduled race, October 22.
We fly Club 40 Sport here. Will do so next year as well. As they say in football, "It will be another building season." Not the same thing as model airplane building season, which is too rapidly approaching.
