Hey Guys,
Like before I would like to get a rough headcount for this Saturday's race. I'm thinking three or so from TN, about 4-7 from the Huntsville area. How many from Birmingham and points south? This morning the weatherman indicated about 20% chance of rain for Thursday to Sunday - much better than the last time.

I have several pictures from yesterdays race that I will try to get posted at some point today.
As Greg said, a big THANKYOU to all the NARCA folks for having us us there for a fantastic race. I will let Tim post the race results when he gets rested up.
Also it was an honor to meet Ken Ericson from Indiana as he decided to come down to join us and see how us Alabama boys do it.
Ken, I hope you enjoyed yourself down here and I had a good timecalling for you.

Carol and I had a great time in Alabama!!!
A big thanks to the members of NARCA for putting on the race on a weekend that we could come down. I learned a lot. Especially that my "fast" airplanes were slower than molasses in winter. But, I do now know how to do an air start to get a bit of an advantage over a level, constant altitude one. Also, I learned that one must be extra careful when levelling out as the start line is crossed. But, it was spectacular!!!!
The members and participants were extremely welcoming and friendly. On the way home, Carol commented on how many came over to chat with her and make her feel welcome.
I know that John and Ernie helped me by being my callers for some of the heats. There may have been others, but I was concentrating on flying the course, though slowly, and may not have noted who was helping me.
Thanks again, guys.

I'll try and get the race results posted tonight. I put in 14 hours yesterday trying to get caught up at work.
Alas, Batman is no more. He died a horrible death when a yellow buzzard came down on him from above. The first flying start mid-air we have had since we started racing several years ago. Parts rained down for several minutes!
