Bob,
I am already registered there is a $50 late fee so don't dawdle on your entry. I also have an extra room booked contact me off line at [email protected] if you need a room for Thursday and Friday.
There is a mini marathon or some other sort going on in Muncie so getting rooms might be a challenge.

Thanks Sparky,
We have had rooms reserved since Jan. in Muncie, I will check with Fred F. and see if he needs the room? He is going to fly out and we are bringing his planes out with us! Guys Please Get Registered if you are planning on flying in the Club 40 race on Friday July 10th. AMA is getting a little nervous because of the lack of entries!

I called AMA today and registered for club 40 and 424. I spoke to Joyce Hager(1-800-435-9262) and she took my personal info and credit card info over the phone, very easy. She said Yolanda usually does the applications but she was gone today but she would be happy to take any applications over the phone.
Please everyone get signed up for Club 40 so we can get a racing count before it becomes to late.

I registered today with Yolanda. The AMA staff does leave for lunch sometime between 12pm and 1pm EDT. But they will call you back. Just go to extension 261 and leave a message. You can add on additional classes or banquet tickets later on if you want. But let's get those Club 40 registrations in.
To my knowledge, Club 40 will be run regardless. We have 8 registered as of me and I know of others that are going to register.
Need to get Jim Katz and Mike Langlois to register if they are going to be there on Friday as I know they still have planes from the 2009 Charlotte season. Racing Katz is a challenge and a hoot.
If you are an NMPRA guy and would fly if you were loaned a plane, let me know. I have several competitive loaners.

I have definitive word from Dan Kane, Jr. that Club 40 is going to be raced on Friday July 10 at the NATS. The more we have the more likely it is a possibility for 2016 and beyond. It is not going to get cancelled.
If you need Club 40 ARF kits, call me at 704-968-2881 or email to [email protected] and I will get you free shipping and no tax at the minimum.

As of today, there are 12 registered Club 40 entries. I know some of you are on the fence but this is the Nats! Its possible that this might be the only year Club 40 gets represented unless we show more participation. Some of us are driving 16 hours to get there and I know there are a bunch of you a lot closer. Lets get signed up. DEADLINE FOR LATE ENTRY FEES ARE JUNE 16TH! TWO WEEKS AWAY!

Since repetition is the key to learning, I will repeat a few things.
Bob (oldbob) , CD of the Club 40 races at the Nats, will be out of pocket for a bit. I spoke with him this morning and he gave me permission to answer any questions, for which he has given me the answers, on his behalf, .
First, some general items:
Section 16 of the "Rules" contains actual Rules about the airplane. It will apply for the Nats.
Club 40 Silver is the class, which will be run at the Nats. Read section 16.1. The Nats document, about which Don has written, leaves out Club 40 Bronze ( 16.2) and Club 46 Gold (16.3), neither of which will be flown at the Nats.
Sections 1 to 15 contain Procedures. The full version contains procedures for both AMA-style racing and RCPRO Warbird-style racing. At the Nats, we will race AMA-style. The Nats document, about which Don has written, prepared by Bob, Don and myself, leaves out RCPRO Warbird-style procedures.
The only thing undetermined, at this time, is whether or not there will be "Mains" after the "Heats" and, if there are, how many.
I will stop here, sometimes more information, at any one time, is too much information.
Please read the current documents and/or the Nats-specific documents, when posted, and ask any questions you may have, either on the RCPRO website or here.

Do you know if the field / Club 40 site at Muncie will be open for practice on Thursday July 9th or not? This may be a question for Dan Kane Jr.

Gary,
You are correct. That is above my pay grade. I have made inquiries by emails and phone message.
We have always intended that it would be. But now we need to get official.

Okay Club 40 Racers,
It looks like site 4 the Club 40 pylon area will be open for practice on Thursday 7/9 ! The only thing that could change that is if the IMAC use's it do to rain! We may have to wait on the ground crew to cut the grass also but it looks like we can practice on it on Thursday! I will keep you up to speed if that changes!
Sparks I think we can swing that request! :O)

Listen up, here is news you can use from your CD. The NAT’s race course will be set up with these setbacks and spacing. The Pylons will be 400 feet apart and the setback from the pylon line to the pilot flight line will be 220 feet. The pilot flight stations will be near the center of the pylons but slightly to the left of center. This allows the pilots to have complete view of their planes as they get ready for takeoff.
We hope to have an automatic release system that will release planes in staggered pairs with a one-half second interval between pairs. There will be no need for callers on the flight line holding planes. The caller will be next to his or her pilot when the planes are released. This system has been used throughout central Texas for the past two years and it works very well.
If anyone has questions post them here.
Bob P

BTW, I didn't book my room until last week. I got a room from 7/8 through 7/13. I have an offer out to someone to stay on an air mattress I have, but that might open up.

More news you can use. Attached is a copy of the Safety Inspection Sheet we will use at the NAT’s. Look it over so you know what to expect when you get there. Safety Inspections and registration will start at 9 am Saturday, 7/10/2015.

See what happens when you get old, brain farts come every 20 minutes. Guys please forgive me on the mistake. I meant that Registration and Tech Inspection will start at 9 am on FRIDAY July 10 2015. I got so frustrated trying to figure out how to put an attachment on that post I just put the info on a separate post.
My brain is not computerized enough to figure it out. If anyone knows how to attach a document to a post on RCU please let me know in simple language that my old brain will understand.
Thanks,
Bob

Bob,
Are there going to be flaggers for each racer at each pylon?? Sorry if I am asking a ignorant question, there is no Club 40 racing around me here in North Carolina. Is it going to be like the first Club 40 Nationals that I attended a few years back??
