Default The Sound of Freedom in the 1940's

Hi,

A mate who is in the "Spitfire Association" sent the attached link to me. If you enjoy seeing a "Spitty" and a Mustang being put though their paces by two exceptional pilots over Duxford in the UK and the sound of two Merlin engines on "full noise" turn up the volume and enjoy.

Cheers,

Colin

Nice formation, not exactly being put thru their paces. An FW-190 on their tails would've been icing on the cake.

Duxford is a wonderful place. I visited there twice. Once, they were having an airshow that was quite impressive. The reenactment of the Battle of Brittain was especially nice. Yeah, the sounds of those engines was really something.

There is another place northwest of London called Shuttleworth. They have flyable aircraft all from WWII and earlier. Very impressive. I was also fortunate to have been there when they had a combinatino airshow and an antique car show going on at the same time. That was quite a day for me.

I couldn't edit for some reason so I'll just add this.

Shuttleworth is at the Old Warden Airpark in Biggleswade in Bedfordshire.
