Field box scratch built
Well I finally finished off my field box restoration (pic 1) w/ a big fat rc universe sticker. (thanks "scale only 4 me" for the link
) So after seening my field box , my friend asked me if I could build him one since he couldn't afford to buy one bc he's getting married in march (needless to say weddings are not cheap). So I told him sure and this is the finished result.

Sorry, I would have done a build thread however my camera is broke so had to take pics w/ my phone and send them to my email, then save them to my hd to post them on rcu so it is a hassle just to post a couple pics.

I picked up a field box at the swap on Saturday, pretty unique too, never would have thought to make one like this. The guy took a plastic tool box, cutout the top for the power panel, strapped a 12v battery inside, an electric fuel pump to the inside of the lid, and a 1 gallon gas can with the glow fuel taps in the cap, and it fits snugly inside. Plenty of room left over for spare props, some tools and other goodies, and it fits nicely in the trunk.
Best part, $20! Heck I dont even think I could get the box for that price.
