I guess that's what we have to put up with. I am sooo tired of getting emails for; "we are ready to deliver to you your 2.5 million dollars as soon as you get in touch with us; or my dearly beloved recently passed & wanted me to find a deserving honest, Christian person to share his wealth, all you need to do is send us your personal info. Yeah, right !! What's sad is I'm sure there are soom poor gullible people out there that buy into that, & lose everything !!

Although he wants 60%, I think I'll hold out for a 50- 50 deal. What do ya think ? If anybody wants, I'll cut ya in on the deal !!! Hehehe

I like the send cash option ....

Kind of reminds me of my standard response to so called "fortune tellers" .... "Yea sweetheart , your gonna tell my my fortune ? " ....... "Six numbers , this upcoming week's winning numbers for mega millions , and then I'll believe ANYTHING ya wanna tell me after that" ....

I havn't won any lotteries yet [:@] ......

[8D] But on a serious note , Thanks for the heads up , Scale , if you save even one person from clicking on the infected link , your post helped someone not get screwed ...

If they have your first & last name, you have bigger problems than annoying phishing emails.

99.99% of the "standard" phising emails start with "Dear Pay Pal Member" or "Dear Pay Pal User". if they incorporated your name into, it's not going to be long before they get you good. I am guessing a keystroke logger and other spyware that is reporting back all your intimate little secrets. I'd call your IT pretty quick and then I'd change every password you have to every account from ANOTHER machine on another network. .

....or you advertise things for sale online - Craiglslist comes to mind and the screen name for your email is your full name, or one of fifty other reasons.

Always hover over the link and look for the closing backslash "/", if it doesn't say "paypal.com/" right in front of it, then it's a fake. If you ever get an email like this, forward it to [email protected] - they will do whatever they do with it.

Yes, I always look at where a links really would be taking me. And Yes it was very similar to that.

http:\\www.paypal.com.ja7fi7mgyb078nx.aczbjftg95na.com/

Yes, I did send it there, I'm surprised Paypal has not responded, not even an automatic response

More than likely these scammer get this type of basic info from the many Vendors that sell customer contact info.

Changing passwords often is a good idea though
