Default 30cc Aircraft

I have a DLE30 and am looking for a home for it. Looked at Horizon, Chief, Aeroworks, and Tower at the different brands they carry. Also looked at krill, seagull, and SBach. I am more interested in scale than 3D presently. Any others I should consider? Top of my list so far are the Cessna's from Aeroworks

Husker, I did see the ultimate Bi-plane, but it would be my first outside of the park zone albatross. Not sure about cutting my teeth on a 30cc bipe.

You are right, A Biplane might be a load to learn on. My best Sunday flyer is the Great Planes Giant Super Sportster with a DLE 35. It is a very forgiving fun flyer. Might be a good plane to learn gas on tho not a scale plane. Flew it for years with a Saito 180 then the DLE 35. Great combo with the 35.

I have plans to learn on 2 previous planes....an Ultra Stick Lite with a G-26, and a Pulse 125 that will carry a DLE20. I will probably be ok with the scale Cessna's, but do want to get a smaller bipe in the meantime before I go big. For the DLE30, I am mostly in the planning stages presently. The 20 is on order, but not shipped, and the Lite needs just a few checks before flying it again. It has been stored for about 5 years and I have completely retrofitted it with new receiver, fuse covering, new kill switches (optical and manual) and new pushrod hardware.

AMA, thanks for the suggestion of the kit direction, and yes, I have considered it. Unfortunately, I have built in the past, and not really enjoyed it enough to take on another one. Allergic to CA, and balsa dust plays havoc with my breathing.

I would steer you toward the Aeroworks. It should be a good flyer and AW has some of the best hardware, covering and painting there is.

Tail skid, thanks for the RV8 suggestion, I will consider it. I have also added the military Cessna version from Aeroworks. My list of possibles is growing. Also added is the Hangar 9 SR22T which recommends a 30cc.

LOL...I know what you mean. I have always liked the Cirrus fleet. Only thing that might hold me back is the fiberglass fuse. Not that I don't like it, just I don't have any experience at repairing it.

Epoxy, cloth, and paint.

Don't break it and you won't have to fix it
