Default Bind plug

I just bought my first plane, Apprentice S. Used of course. Would there by chance be someone in the Tualatin area that would have a bind plug that I could have or just barrow so that I can get my DX6I bound?

Hi,
Do you have an old broken servo or a servo extension lying around?
If you then you can make a bind plug.
Cut the plug off of the servo wire end or an extension leaving a few inches of wire to work with.
Remove the center pin from the plug or simply cut the red wire flush with the housing.
Next, strip the ends of the brown and orange wires or the black and white wires depending on the cable.
Twist the two wires together, solder, shrink-wrap or tape.
Now you have a homemade bind plug !

Default bind plug

No. I do not have any broken servo's. And yes I do know that I can make a bind plug. And thank you for the reply. I can't believe that Hobby town was going to charge me $15 for a 80 cent part!

Yikes! That sucks. Try looking up model clubs in your area. Someone there should be able to help you.

P.S. I like the username.

Interesting. First time I ever heard of a "bind plug". From the description, it seems to provide a ground for the signal wire, right? What does this do? And why do you need one?

Its a device used by Spektrum / JR owners to bind the receiver with the transmitter.
