Looking for field stand
Looking for a stand to hold my airplanes while assembling the wings to the fuse
just getting too old to do it bent over on the grass. Fly mostly sailplanes looking for something about four foot high may fit on a tripod. I've seem where mostly these are home built not many in the stores.
Thanks

Go to a yard / garage sale or thrift shop and pick up a handicap walker ( the fold up type ) mount a "U" bracket on to of each set of legs and your good to go even as a ( YOUNG ) man. been using one for years I bought for about $8. it fit right behind my seat in the car. ENJOY !!! RED

Consider buying a card table or tray table
(also known as TV dinner table). You will find
it to be more useful, holding your radio, tool
box, coffee, etc.
Put a couple of hooks on it to rubber band or
bungee your airplane.

See #3 above, I put a piece of shelving across the lower braces and put my field box on it. with a gallon of fuel and the other stuff I take to the field, there's enough weight to be able to use it as a starting stand for my .40 nd .60 size planes without having to worry about it being pulled over. Check the forums, I think there are some photos of ones others have made from a walker. Usually $5.00 will get one at a garage sale.
