Default Effect of the Eclipse on a Plane.

Wondered if there would be any effect, even though here we were only at 72%. Well, flying wasn't any worse, or better, than usual. Would be interesting to see the effect of a full eclipse. Would probably need lights on the plane, though. Maybe try that the next time.

My landings were much better, so there had to be the effect of the eclipse. My buddy Cessna 150 was flown and he actually saw his nav lights!

The only thing I can think of is that during totality, your engine might lean out a bit due to drastic temp. change, other than that, probably nothing. Ha

Hmmm back in the 27 and 72 MHz days it was always easy to blame my own screw-ups on solar flares. No one ever knew when they were happening anyway
