Thanks For Your Service To Our Country
I wanted to take a moment to thank the Veterans of this countries Armed Services. My Grandfathers both served in WWII. I am very proud of them. I was unable to tell them because they passed when I was at a young age. Before I was aware of the significance. Today I called Dave, ( he used to ferry new P-38's to the front line) and thanked him. I tried to thank him with heart like I wish I could thank my grandfathers right now.
THANK YOU ALL for we would not be the same if it weren't for your sacrifice

on behalf of veterans - just a simple post like this one goes a long way. I served as a translator and cryptographer onboard submarines at the end of the gulf war. i havnt spoke much about my service anymore, but get reminded each year at this time - and it is well appreciated.

RE: Thanks For Your Service To Our Country
My son is currently in the US Navy Sub Service, still going through all of his schooling. I tell him thank you almost every time we talk. But a heartfelt thanks does go out to all that have served our country. I appreciate the freedoms they protect!

We already have one off topic Veterans Day inspired thread open in the Clubhouse. Here is a link to that thread.

I know it will not be popular, but I am closing this thread. GrnBrt has decided to leave the other thread open for a couple of days, so you can post there if you wish.
Just so you know, I am not unpatriotic, but once the door is cracked for off topic posts it is difficult to close. Thanks for understanding.
