I just caught the trailer for an upcoming Scrubs episode on NBC. It shows Mathew Perry (chandler of Friends fame) piloting what appears to be a small red glow powered bipe after the shows star Zach Braff. Keep an eye out for this in the next episode! RC hitting prime time alot lately.

Mathew Perry is well cast as an RC pilot. He always plays the geekier character on Friends and in the movies.

There is also a TV commercial airing right now with an older guy flying a Cub looking RC plane. I think it's a financial investment firm or insurance company. My wife pointed it out to me and got mad when I didn't get excited about it.

A friend who works at a local hobby shop was on the TV show Blind Date as an RC instructor with the couple on the date. He met them at a park and had them fly a small electric. It aired about a month ago.

The movie The Aviator will be out this Xmas and the trailers are being shown now. The XF-11 (looks like a P-38), the H-1 Hughes Racer and the Spruce Goose were all done with really big RC models.

Alex from our field was the pilot for the plane. I knew about this episode a month ago when they filmed it. Filmed it on the other side of the Basin, over off of Balboa. Looking forward to seeing it.

This was going to be my next question. Speaking of a night of RC flying, The Movie "Problem Child" with John Ritter and that adopted kid "Junior" was on tonight. Remember him flying the RC helicopter around shooting up the neighborhood while sitting on the roof of his house dressed like Robert Duvall in Apocalypse Now. Anybody know who was really flying th helicopter???

Matthews, transmitter skills definitely shows he is a true actor.

30 seconds of an eccentric doing naughty things with his little toy plane, ending in a HUGE FIREBALL!

Why wasn't I asked to play that part, I'd gladly give up a kidney for such a chance!
