Nice site faster than it was before. Were did the boat forum go? I use to love coming to R/C online to talk about my 2 fav hobbies. is there a large R/C boat authority online anywere?

I noticed the old RCO is still there. Don't hang out there now since I got a virus there. Is that site going to go away now or is that going to be known as someplace different?

This place is nice. Where did you find the old site? I just typed in www.rconline.com and this came up.

I gotta echo imaginos - slow as it was, there's a TON of good info in the previous RCO's database. Last time RCO reorganized, it all disappeared. Is it gone for good (again) or is there some effort being made to import it into the new format?
P.S. There's something very wrong with the clock - it was 9:18, not 2:18 when I posted this

It is stated the time is ZULU...or GMT.
Let's all hang in and give this one a chance.
I think in the long haul...this site will be the place to be.
Most moderators on the "other" sites are power hungry little snips...That are insecure and overzealous...Let's see what this one developes.
I really think they are making an effort to clean house and make things right
It would be refreshing to go to a site that has not deleloped the preverbial "click".
.
Perfect world would be: Have a site with mounds of information and fellowship between pilots.
I personally think this is going to be the comeback site of the year.

I too would like to see the old files made available somehow, it would be a shame to lose all of that information. I'm just glad to be rid of that darned monkey, lol.

Thanks for a quality site where I can continue to learn new tricks, help others, and enjoy some cool conversation.
Thanks for speeding this thing up and creating a system that is easier to navigate.
If I had to choose between bringing the old repository of info over and having a faster system that's easy to search without constant virus warnings (real or not); I'd choose the second. We'll eventually redeposit all the good advice. RC questions continue to come up and replicate themselves.

Is the time problem related to daylight savings time? EST is GMT-5, EDT is GMT-4. Do we need to pretend we're in one time zone to the east (Atlantic time for me) to correct for daylight time? And does the server need to be set the same way? If the server is converting GMT improperly for itself, and my user profile is also converting improperly, that would account for the apparent 2 hour error.
I just reset my profile to GMT-4, and will be posting this at about 11:52 EDT.

Earlier today times were displaying correctly. Now they look 2 hours off again - I'm still set for GMT-4. I'm posting this at about 19:28 EDT. I assume we'll get it figured out eventually. I'm not surprised that this new site is experiencing "teething problems" - it takes time to get everything right.

It is unfortunate, you as a moderator from another site is so blind to the facts I stated.
There are some great moderators out there.
I did not mention your site by name, nor did I mention your name. So don't wad your shorts up.
I think on the knowledge side you have a lot to offer.
Perhaps you will re-think your last words in your post.
I think you would be an asset as an active member.
