Default Swing Plane?

I am looking for a set of plans or photo of a backyard swing-I am a new grandfather and I was told that I need to build a airplane swing for the grandbaby; any ideas? Sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum-thanks jmc

Default RE: Swing Plane?

As far as the swing goes, just a standard double "A" frame with a crossbar of the desired length connecting them and suitably braced to prevent side-to-side sway. Hardware kits with complete instructions are available at both Lowe's and Home Depot in the garden section.

As far as the airplane swing goes, there are ads in the r/c plane rags showing available plans for toddler-sized airplane "push cars". It should be easy to hang one from a pair of chains (at the c/g) and convert them to a swing. Good luck, sounds like a great idea.
