I once put together a cheap and dirty receiver battery field charger by just using a heavy duty dropping resister. When I was done, the circuit card I had used looked sort of barren, so I just added a bunch more spare electronic components to the board. They did not do anything, just made it look more impressive. So out at the flying field there is always a kind of ongoing surveillance of stuff like this, and a lot of questions asked. I think the devil got in me, because I told the guys I had assembled a "glitch preventer"; it worked by kind of giving the receiver an electronic enema! Well, there was a lot of skeptism, but one guy did ask if Tower Hobbies sold them..........

cap10fan,

Yep Ca works GREAT as a suture. Unbelievable that it doesn't sting. You know for a fact that it should as you slowly drop a drip or two, but to your surprise - no pain, no tears.

Ca also works good (not great) to prevent fingernail splits from splitting further. Works great to prevent further fraying of shoe laces. Just saturate string directly behind fray, let dry, then cut at glue line. Oh yeh - you can build planes with it too!

Shoot - I could start a string devoted to CA uses. Unbelievable stuff!

Thanks for all the inputs folk -- got any more?

We should start a new thread, "101 uses for CA".

Default CA Remover

I use my coarse sanding block to sand the CA off my fingers at night before I go in the house. Hey, Ed, are you the same Ed Stefan I grew up with in Tullahoma, TN?
