RE: Macomb, IL
Roger - Don't know how much help this will be, but here is a link to Bill Lee's [link=http://www.ama-dist-8.org/Clubs/Locator.php]AMA Club Locator[/link]. I typed in Macomb, IL and 50 miles and came up with 5 Clubs. I'm afraid I can only help you with the actual location of one Club, and that is the 'SPOON RIVER FLYERS'. If you look in the detailed data at the bottom you'll see where this Club has an extra called [link=http://www.ama-dist-8.org/Clubs/ShowGreggData.php?clubno=3609]Link to GPS and Aerial Photos[/link]. This happens to be some data I supply and is the actual location of the Field.
Good luck and I hope this helped at least a little bit.

Im the Secretary/Treasurer of the Spoon River Flyers.
Our field is located 1 mile northeast of Maquon, Illinois.
Just off Route 97.
Its a little way to go from Macomb but we have a couple
of members from the Bushnell area.
Our club web page can be found at:

We have a really nice field and no neighbors to complain.
Contact me if you would like to come up and give it a try.

RE: Macomb, IL
Thanks Guys:
I am living in Macomb for a construction job.
In previous visits thru Macomb, I saw (and visited with) some flyers that flew in a huge Park District park NE of town.
I have gone by numerous times during nice weather and have not seen anyone there.
It would be nice to have a few minute drive rather then a 60 minute drive.
Will keep looking.
Thanks again.
