Default where from?

Redondo Beach, California: home of no nearby flying fields. Although we do have one for heli's..too much dang money in those. Besides, I can sort of sneak in a few flights at my work - just gotta be able to dodge obstacles.

Here's our field in Sumner, Washington, Mount Rainier in the background. For some reason the grass looks terrible in this shot, but it is in fantastic shape! That's my new Extra coming in after a fun flight. Thanks to JohnVH for taking the shot.

Hi! I live in India in a town called Gurgaon (Near Delhi). We've made a runway in a friend's sugarcane, wheat and mustard field. The strip is 30' X215' with 5 feet tall mustard on both approaches. Crosswinds make landing tricky. Controlled stalls over the mustard plants in case of flame outs, and the model escapes scratch free. We are 3-4 active flyers. Thats me with my cap 232 3D with freshly planted wheat!!

Cincinnati, Ohio here, and like most of the rest of the country at this latitude and north of here, we are currently in the throes of the worst winter in a while. 5 inches on the ground with another 1-2 on the way. Guess I better get those skis back on my plane if I want to fly at all. I just checked the weather, and we might see the upper 40's sometime next week. It will be a virtual heat wave. Well we have March to get through, hopefully April will bring some warmer drier weather. Here is a picture of the HAWKS field at Joyce park. We have a combat event coming up on April 26-27, so if you are in town, plan on attending. Check it out at www.hawksrc.org. The field has changed a little, we have a paved parking area now, and you can see on the right, the place where those dang guys run their little car thingy's . If only our field was that clear and green right now. Snow GO AWAY!!!!

I live in sunny and warm Arlington Texas.

Photo was taken today during the worst ice storm in 20 years. The street glaze looks just like the sidewalk glaze.

As shown

For live pictures, tune in to watch us lose the America's Cup. First class idea of the weather here (late summer, three days of easterly gales and rain off and on).

I'm only a few minutes away from the Midwest's premier vacation destination - the Wisconsin Dells. There's tons of natural beauty, but the main attraction now is the worlds largest indoor and outdoor water parks.

If anyone wants to plan their vacation in the Dells, look me up. Drop off the kiddos at the water parks and we'll go fly!
