Caught playing!!!
Just got caught by a co-worker for playing airplane. I was walking across the room and holding a hand up like it was a plane and turned around and saw she was looking at me. Embarassed to say the least.
What silly things have you got caught doing?

Drilling parachute emergency procedures looks even goofier grabbing at handles that aren't there and swiveling your head around to examine an imaginary malfunction

What engine did you have in your "imaginary plane?
What engine did you have in your "imaginary plane?
It's 3 oz, swings a 40x20 prop at 8,000 rpm, and costs $19.99. The entire engine is made of Unobtainium, with a life time warranty against any damage, even from crashes.

You didn't read the directions on flying imaginary airplanes did you? Especially the part on avoiding those embarassing moments by making engine noises. Works for me every time! But if you want to confuse folks, just make those cheee, cheee air noises each time you step on your car's brakes, you know, like the sound of Air Brakes on Greyhound Buses.

Speaking of imaginary planes, I recall back int he late 70's when "The Six Million Dollar Man" was on. There was a scene where he was running towards a Jetranger (Helicopter) to get picked up an the pilot starts it up. The pilot shows all his cockpit moves hitting switches and stuff and all you can hear is the sound of a Cessna cranking up. Talk about bloopers.

RE: Caught playing!!!
I remember one day, shortly after receiving my brand new transmitter, when I sat in a lawn chair in my back yard and flew several buzzards and hawks. (Had to get used to the controls - ya know)
Yep, I lost a little more credability throughout the neighborhood, when my neighbor saw me and asked, "What in the wide-world of sports are ya doing?" Boy was I glad he didn't notice that the transmitter was turned off.

Funny, that brings back memories.... before this R/C airplane gig (decades ago) I was hot and heavy into Musclecars. On one occasion I was observed by my wife making 4-speed shifting noises while going through the imaginary motions. A 68' Dodge Charger R/T will do that to you!
Twenty-two years later she still thinks I'm half-baked!

Yep, sooner or later we all slip up. Like for example, how many here have ever been in such a rush to get that ship off the ground and forgot to extend the TX antennae? I'll start it off. OK, yeah, I did. Luckily one of the guys yelled out asking if I was planning a short hop, then pointed out my "short antennae. My plane was still on the ground, but rolling, so with a red face I quickly chopped the throttle!
