Default Lanier/Hobbico/Hangar 9

Looking at some of the recent posts I'm wondering what this big anouncement mentioned by hobbico will be. I know that Great Planes bought out the Lanier & Goldberg lines. I see that Tower Hobbies is now liiquidating all of the Lanier Kits. Tower also states that when the Lanier kits are gone then there gone. I'm wondering if Great Planes will re-design the Lanier kit line or just discontinue the production of the Lanier kits. Do you think this major announcment my be that they will no longer produce the Lanier Line? What do you guys think?

Relax, it's not THAT big of an announcement. I mean, sure, it's a big announcement, but nothing like "Hobbico acquires Horizon" LOL

That's like saying Chevy is going to start selling Fords

So, you already know, but haven't said anything. That can only mean one thing, Mr. Admin took all of his profits from selling RCU and initiated a hostile takeover of Hobbico!

(that should get the rumor mill going, don'tcha think!)

Well, two hours past the announcement time and all I hear is crickets. Must not have been very big news.

The silence is deafening - the whole thing just fell off the radar. Maybe the legal people had to do some 11th hour tweaking.

It's a "big" plane, does that equal "big news"? (or has this plane been out for a while and i'm just behind the times??)

The plane was announced a while ago on their "just announced" page. I guess either it wasn't announced, or the announcement really wasn't all that big...no surprise with the chatroom rumors though...

Ya, i noticed that plane was release on 01/08/2008 about 20 minutes after i made that post...oh well.

I guess the big news was a FLOP or something...the silence is deafening
