Does anyone here have any experience with Quantum Models? I was looking for an alternative to Tower and placed an order with them and their order tracking page seems to not be working.

I have ordered twice from them and was satisfied both times.
I did not have any problems with them at all, maybe they are just having tecnical difficulties with there computer. I know I have my share of trouble with mine.

I have used them at least 3 times in the past year or so and If the item is in stock service and price are very good IMO. I have had to wait quite a while on a whole order once because an item or 2 was backordered. Specify to ship what they have if something is on backorder. Dave is pretty good at responding to e mails too.

I have never had a problem with them. Their shipping is extremely fast if the item is in stock. They won't send a bunch of emails about your order status like Tower does, but they will respond to email inquiries quickly. To me, they seem more like shopping at a local hobby shop, while Tower seems like big business.

My experience was very positive. He did not have one of my otems in stock, so he had to make an order from SlimLine and i still got my complete order in 3 business days. Very competative prices and free shipping on orders over $100 buck (arn't they all!). I has some difficulty with his web page as well, but just called him via the 800 number and spoke to the man himself. Very good service. I will not order from Tower again.

I 2nd that. Just call or email them for the order status. Their order status page is a little fluky, but in time I'm sure he will have that fixed in time. I placed an order and 2 items were backordered so the whole order was held, at the time it was not big deal but I could of call/email to have the instock items sent. I placed another order a 2 week later and without even asking he included the in stock items from the 1st with the 2nd order. Nice touch!! Prices are very competitive. If Tower has an item for less, I'd call and see if they will match it. Maybe they will maybe not, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I have recently received two different orders from Quantum Models in Shelbyville, Ky. The prices on the items I purchased were as low as any, the person that took my order (Jim) was friendly, I paid no shipping and no tax. One box took five days and the other six days. I will purchase from them again.

I too have had good experiences with Quantum. The fellow who runs it started Omni Models back before Tower bought him out, so he's had as much experience and history in the mail-order hobby biz as just about anyone. If they've still got that tool sale going you can pick up a bunch of little doo-dads on the cheap.

I agree with everyone else. I have bought 2 planes from Quantum and both times they got my merchandise to me in a timely manner and packaged right. I would definitely use them again.

I have had first hand experience with Quantum Models when they were located in Minneapolis for a short time. I went to their warehouse and talked to Dave in person. He is a great guy, and when asked if he could beat Tower he smiled and said he used to work there. ( I take that as a yes )
I sure would not hesitate to order from Quantum Models. The way he explained it to me is that he does want it to feel like your ordering from your local hobby store.
A great guy running a great business.

They are a good group like I said above.
Example: Just a day or two ago I had a TME smoke pump that started leaking from the pump. I purchased it from Dave a month ago. I sent it back with a letter and they are replacing it free of charge. You would expect this from a local hobby shop but not mail order. Mail order just tells you to deal with the manufacturer directly. Just FYI.
