One of my other hobbies is playing a musical instrument called a mountain dulcimer. I play using a "noter" (which is really just a stick), that led to "noterman".

Mine came from the name of my uncle's B-24 that he flew during WWII. You can see him and part of the crew of the Gremlin Castle taken at a bar in Havan Cuba in early 1944. The picture is posted in my Gallery here on RCU along with some of my airplanes.

RE: How did you come up with the names?
In 84 I became certified (or certifiable ) night club dj working for a company based in London. They'd send me on tour around the States and then Europe and the ME. So the day before I had my interview with them I was trying to come up with a 'cool' stage name. My initials are GTB and all the nicknames I was coming up with were absolutely mingin'.
So my mom stepped in and said, you're middle name is Thomas so how about Tommy Gun? And that was that. This was even before the boxer and character Tommy Gun showed up in one of the Rocky movies. I've used that name even on air when I used to be a presenter on radio. People still call me Tom, Tommy, TG, etc.
The 32 came from my age when I set up my first Yahoo account, because just plain Tommy Gun was already taken. It was also taken when I joined RCU. Don't know his story but I know his avatar is a wise old looking owl.

I think the Brits will disagree with you! I personally like the P47.
